DigMax Equipment Limited continues to steadily expand their product portfolio, with their most recent addition being the High-Tip buckets for wheel-type loaders
“We had a few other clients interested, so they came in and inspected the bucket and a few more orders were soon confirmed – a testament to the quality and value on offer. We are also now able to offer standard wheel loader buckets,” says company director James Maunsell.
DigMax Demo range
The demolition range of DigMax attachments continues to grow. “While we have been supplying hydraulic pulverisers, cracker jaws, and mechanical pulverisers for some years now, we have not really pursued other products such as Shears and Orange Peel grapples,” says James. “We have recently aligned with one of China’s leading specialist manufacturers for these products and delivered an eight-tonne class shear to Pro Floors Ltd a few months ago, which is performing extremely well.”
Battery-electric grease guns
Another very recent arrival is a new model of DigMax battery-electric grease guns. Features include a very robust design, the ability to preset grease delivery amounts, 21v lithium batteries for longer life and lighter weight compared to nicad batteries; sparkless brushless motors, and delivery of grease at 10,000psi.
“These have been under development for three years and the first mass production runs were field tested with international clients before their final full production release,” says James.
“The kit comes with the charger and two batteries. They take a standard 450gm grease cartridge. Priced at $595+GST for the kit, these are great value.”
Double-ram grab buckets

The rapid uptake of the ‘Double Pumper’ double-ram grab buckets by New Zealand contractors continues to grow and DigMax will have them available for 1.8-tonne excavators from mid-January 2025. This will take their range available ‘off the shelf’ from 1.8-tonne to 40-tonne class excavators.
Long-reach front assemblies

DigMax has also delivered a number of long-reach front assemblies for excavators, the recent highlight being a custom-built triple-boom assembly for a 100-tonne Volvo EC950E with Murphy Civil Ltd, operating in Ōpōtiki on the new harbour project.
“Including a 10-tonne counterweight slice, track expanders, and a third boom lift ram added in between the existing two lift rams, it took the machine to 120 tonnes and a reach of 25 metres,” says James.
