Ritchie Bros. is hosting a dedicated auction in New Zealand with over 100 items already consigned to its National New Zealand IronPlanet Auction

Ritchie Bros. is hosting a dedicated auction in New Zealand with over 100 items already consigned to its National New Zealand IronPlanet Auction (Thursday, June 9).

The company says it will be New Zealand’s premier equipment and machinery auction of the year, where buyers can expect a massive range of construction and earthmoving equipment including excavators, dozers, compactors, scrapers and more.

Ritchie Bros. is one of the world’s largest auctioneers of heavy equipment and trucks, offering customers end-to-end solutions for buying and selling used equipment and other assets.

Ritchie Bros.’ sales director, Finlay Massey says, "Supply chain issues, load lead times, and rising costs is placing pressure on New Zealand’s already constrained construction market.

Our National New Zealand IronPlanet Auction will be welcome news to many New Zealanders looking to source used equipment to complete projects.

"This is the first auction we’re hosting in New Zealand this year. Buyers will be able to inspect equipment at one of Ritchie Bros. yards at Hamilton or Paeroa, then join the auction online and place bids."

Regional sales manager, Cody Watson, adds, "It’s shaping up to be the largest auction we’ve held in New Zealand for many years.

"Ritchie Bros. are well known for their New Zealand auctions and this event is expected to attract buyers not only from across New Zealand but the Pacific Islands and the Middle East as well," he says.

"We have many New Zealand-based customers who regularly buy and sell through our permanent auction sites in Brisbane and Geelong, as well as some who like to access Ritchie Bros. global sales. This is a great opportunity however for New Zealanders to buy equipment right on their doorstep from our yards in Hamilton and Paeroa."
