This year marks the fourth annual Northland Forestry Awards event, held on 20 September 2019 at ASB Stadium, Whangarei
With nominations closed on 10 August 2019, the fourth annual Northland Forestry Awards is gearing up for the big awards night on 20 September 2019 at ASB Stadium, Whangarei.
Run by the Northland Forestry Health & Safety Group, the awards covers a large range of categories that cover almost all sectors of the forestry industry, culminating in the coveted Skilled Professional of the Year.
Last year, Dave Wilson walked away with the top prize in what the organiser said was a record year of entries at the Northland Forestry Awards.
As well as being awarded the Northland Forestry Skilled Professional of the Year, Dave also won the Harvesting Excellence Award.
He is known as one of the most professional crew managers in the region and has worked for Rosewarne Cable Loggers since 2013, thriving on the challenge of running an efficient harvest crew in an often-challenging terrain using a 90-foot tower.
