Product profile: Bell B20E ADT

Bell’s latest addition to its articulated dump truck range is the new B20E Low Ground Pressure

While on the smaller side of Bell’s truck range, the B20E is based heavily on the B25E and B30E, which are used in tough, high-production environments.

The manufacturers say that the new model is highly durable, with an 11.5 cubic metre capacity body designed for ease of operation and high productivity, and has a similar power-to-weight ratio to the other E-Series trucks at 6hp/tonne.

The B20E also has a significantly reduced ground pressure of 95kPa and market-leading floatation in muddy or soft, sandy underfoot conditions, thanks to the low profile, extra wide 800/45 R 30.5 tyres.

Powered by a Tier 4/Stage 4 emission compliant engine with 6x6 all-axle drive, the B20E is also fitted with wet brakes to offer sealed protection against deep mud.

The B20E has an impressive turning circle of 3.68 metres, with 800 wide tyres as well as a load over height of 2.5 metres, which also allows the bin to be filled by a number of different loading tools.

It also includes a range of other standard benefits and features such as I-Tip On-board Weighing, Tip Safe, Automatic Park Brake, Automatic Traction Control, Downhill Speed Control, Hill Hold, and Bell’s Fleetm@tic Telematic software.

Bell has been producing ADTs since the early 1980s, offering a complete line-up ranging from 20 to 60 tonnes. Manufacturers say that all of Bell’s ADT range is optimised to deliver the lowest cost-per-tonne through a focus on lowering operating costs, increasing productivity, and maximising uptime.

As dynamic vehicles that more than double its weight when loaded, Bell’s product design incorporates the use of alloy steels and is backed by stringent weld quality standards. All their ADTs are also designed for and comprehensively tested in the harshest applications—in 24-hour operation mines with high ambient temperatures.

CablePrice is currently conducting a demonstration roadshow. If you are interested in test driving the B20E, register your interest today by scanning the QR code above or visiting cableprice.co.nz.
