The unit comes with a factory-made spreader bar for even water spread

The unit comes with a factory-made spreader bar for even water spread and economical use of water when compared to the traditional splash plate design as used on agricultural machines. The Fleming machine also has the benefit of a pressure operated rain gun mounted to the top of the machine.

Pressure operated rain gun mounted to the top of the machine

This is on a revolving turret, allowing the operator to aim a water jet into inaccessible places such as banks or gulleys, making it additionally useful for firefighting duties especially in difficult-to-access areas.

The other unique feature is the hydraulically-driven vacuum/pressure pump. This differs from the usual drawbar mounted pump, which is driven by a PTO shaft from the tractor. While this is fine when operated in straight lines, PTO shafts are prone to failure when used on extreme drawbar angles and require daily maintenance.

Simple hydraulic pipes

They can also be prone to damage when used by inexperienced operators. The simple hydraulic pipes from the tractor to the pump eliminate all these risks and reduce maintenance time and costs. The Fleming tanker comes as standard with hydraulic brakes and LED road lights. It can be operated behind most tractors of around 120hp or above.
