Check out DOW's visit to the Aimex Show in Sydney at the end of August, and its focus on parts supply, technology and health and safety in the mining industry

I timed some business in Australia with the Aimex Show, which was held at the end of August in Sydney.

The Asia-Pacific region mining exhibition didn’t have anything in the way of big
mining gear but was more focussed on the infrastructure support, such as parts supply, technology, along with health and safety.

Showing that the event does have influence across the globe, a number of countries had a presence with pavilions. Those represented included Germany, France, United States, and, of course, China.

The number of attendees from China touting for business far surpassed suppliers from other regions and demonstrated the extensive influence the country has on the mining market.

Doing my bit for global inter-business relations, I was able to matchmake a supplier of equipment with an Australian advertiser I had visited a day earlier and am happy to say there is talk of impending nuptials in the wind.
