Although the well-known Xcentric crusher bucket and Boss screening bucket range form the core of the crushing and screening options available through Boss Attachments New Zealand Limited, the diversity of their entire range means that the equipment supplier is more than just a two-brand option.

This was demonstrated at the recent Civil Contractors New Zealand (CCNZ) conference in Auckland, where models on the Boss stand also included the OSA and Motofog brands.

“We had models from both our OSA Multisystem and Pulveriser range at the conference and they received a massive level of interest,” says Paul Herbison of Boss Attachments, adding that OSA has become the international “go-to brand” for contractors.

OSA MC Multisystem

At OSA, improving production, safety, and environmental sustainability is an ever-evolving priority, says Boss Attachments. This has led to the development of a product range that’s designed to deliver in every way.

One client who’s impressed with his OSA Multisystem is Cameron Jurgens of Whanganui-based Jurgens Demolition. “We recently used our OSA MC24 to demolish the Redclyffe Bridge near Taradale in Hawke’s Bay following Cyclone Gabrielle. The performance-to-power ratio is outstanding,” says Cameron.

He adds that he was also impressed with the fast opening and closing of the jaw mechanisms, which makes the MC24 faster and much more efficient than alternative options.

The versatile OSA MC Multisystem — made entirely from Hardox and Stenx — helps provide contractors with a wide range of project solutions and can be fitted as a crusher, combi-cutter, pulveriser, and shear.

“The OSA FPV Pulveriser Series has also hit the mark for a growing number of our clients,” says Paul. “Designed to deliver increased production and performance for secondary demolition and recycling, these pulverisers deliver truly groundbreaking performance.

Featuring Hardox and Weldox construction, the FPV also includes a reversed cylinder to protect the rod from accidental hits as well as an innovative pressure relief valve that protects the attachment from high pressure.”

Crushing and screening

The Xcentric Crusher Bucket features a patented circular jaw movement and can deliver at least 35% greater production than conventional crusher buckets, says Boss.

“Our Boss screening bucket is exclusively designed and manufactured for Boss Attachments to our own design specifications and is built from Hardox and Stenx materials,” says Paul.

“Suitable for a wide range of aggregate types, its solid and durable design is made
to resist wear and high stress in even the toughest operating conditions and that durability is supported by a one-year warranty.”

Boss Motofog

Dust is an unfortunate consequence of screening and crushing and here, the Boss Motofog cannon comes into its very own. “Units are compact, easily transportable, and have very low operating costs. The range includes both diesel and electric models,” says Paul.

“We believe that our range provides clients with significant performance advantages they need in today’s highly competitive environment.”
