Xcentric Rippers, Antraquip roadheaders, HPM drilling rigs — Boss Attachments has built a lineup that performs on some of the toughest projects on the planet
When a company represents as many world-class brands as Boss Attachments, their ability to deliver wide-ranging, project-specific solutions for clients’ needs should come as no surprise.
When those leading-edge brands also include an arsenal of attachments that have been proven in some of the most challenging projects on Earth, an even stronger case for the Boss range of equipment becomes very obvious, especially when it comes to projects that involve trenching, drilling or tunnelling.
Xcentric Ripper
The versatile Xcentric Ripper has revolutionised ripper technology and at the massive Sun Zia wind project in the U.S an XR 82 has outperformed a conventional eight-tonne hammer by a factor of 12, say Boss.
“It is no surprise,” says Paul Herbison of Boss Attachments. “We have dozens of examples where our XR Rippers have consistently outperformed larger hammers and breakers.”
The benefits delivered by the XR Ripper include much more than just the daily production output that they generate. For starters, there is also a significant reduction in vibrations and wear on the excavator – as well as less fuel consumption needed per metric tonne and greatly reduced downtime for repairs and service.
Developed with a patented system of ‘Impact Technology by Accumulation of Energy’, the Xcentric Ripper is said to be up to five times more productive than traditional hydraulic breakers.
Antraquip

The Antraquip brand is the touted as a rock star when it comes to milling, grinding, or cutting of rock or concrete. The business manufactures a comprehensive range of milling heads, roadheaders and rock saws.
Antraquip Milling Heads have been internationally proven in some of the most demanding environments on Earth and are designed to handle materials of up to a uniaxial compressive strength of 220+ MPA. The versatile attachments can perform several functions including milling back concrete surfaces and can also be fitted with paddles to produce mudcrete.
Antraquip Roadheaders are advanced, self-propelled and extremely powerful rock cutting machines. Available in the weight class of 13–80 tonnes operating weight, they are designed to excavate roadways, tunnels and chambers continuously without using explosives.
The electro-hydraulic-powered machines emit no fumes and offer interchangeable cutter heads both transverse and inline. Units are customised to each project including coal mining, mineral mining and underground construction projects.
Their ability to excavate the desired profile without causing harmful vibrations is highly valuable for both environmental and safety reasons.
The machines are typically used for tunnelling (road, railroad, water, sewer) or in the mining industry for the excavation of shafts. Boss roadheaders have a variety of interchangeable cutting drums designed for transverse and axial applications.
HPM Drilling

With over 45 years of combined hydraulic experience, HPM designs and manufactures world-class drilling rigs expertly engineered for the most demanding operations.
From low-headroom configurations to large-diameter bored piles and displacement applications, HPM’s robust designs deliver practicality and performance to last generations.
“We are really proud to represent these brands, they are absolute winners and our clients love them,” Paul says.
